Being a BUM

Helllloooo BLOGWORLD!

I was doing at least 1 blog a day until Monday.  Monday was a bad day!  Monday wasn't supposed to be a bad day, it was so to be my 1st day of freedom after finishing my job I was at for nearly 8 years.  Everything went pretty smoothly with my finishing up.... so that was great.  But then to my surprise on Monday my partner Paul was dismissed from the same company, with no reason given.  That's something I'd love to comment more about, but I cant at present.

Paul has amazed me with his attitude on "that's the past and time to move forward".  Me on the other hand, I have taken it quite hard.  I feel that I after all the hard work he did and how much he improved the company that it was such a horrible thing to happen.  I just dont understand how people can be so ungrateful and mean.  I guess now I'm learning that that's business and everyone is replaceable.... such a hard lesson to learn though.

Anyways, now onto the "I'm moving on" part.  Yep thats right I went for my 1st job interview in nearly 8 years.  Such a strange feeling because over the last 5 years I have been conducting interviews in my old role.  So to be on the other side of the table again was a very nerve racking experience.  All went well though and the lady loved me :)  So onto the 2nd round I go.  I really hope I go well because the job would be awesome.  I would be leading a National Sales Team who call on Myer, DJ's, Target, Kmart, Big W and other stores that stock homeware type products. *fingers crossed*

So with both Paul and I out of work there is definately no excuse not to keep up our good eating and excercise habits.  Most days we are eating fruit for brekky, salad s/wichs on grain bread and meat & salad for tea.  If we feel the need to have a snack attack we are eating popcorn or an icypole hehe.

It's so great when the weather is good because exercising outside is so much nicer.  We did quite a few laps around the oval tonight.......

RUN Forrest RUN

Since the health kick began 2 wks ago Paul has lost 4.5kgs and I have lost 1.8kgs  :)

Hail to the Maxi Dress Queen

I now introduce Linda - The Maxi Queen.

I'm sure most girls out there own a maxi dress or 2, hey I even bought my 1st one just last week after resisting for so long, and I LOVE IT.  Linda started purchasing Maxi's over 3 years ago, which helped start the trend here in Melbourne.  Linda has always been a little trend setter amongst our group of girls and also helped introduce me to my love affair with Sass & Bide.

I was so impressed with Linda's collection of maxi dresses that I had to blog about it.  To start with, here is the fabulous Limda with her much loved collection.  Yes there are heaps, try and count them :)

Just laying these beautiful dresses out on the bed wasn't doing them justice, so it was time to strike a pose......

INTERVIEW WITH THE MAXI QUEEN LINDA

Q. So Linda, why do you own so many maxi dresses?
A. There are several reasons-
  1. They are very versatile, you can dress them up or down.
  2. They cover you up when you are having a "fat day"
  3. I like that they cover the top of my legs
  4. Perfect for Summer fashion
  5. They are really really pretty
Q. Do you have a favourite one?
A. Yes definately the Show Stopper is the black Shakuhachi.  *last 2 photos*

Q. Do you remember your 1st maxi purchase?
A. Yes, the green Bardot one *photo 13*.  It was bought from the Bardot Outlet 3 years ago on SALE for  $10

Q. Are you going to purchase any more?
A. Absolutely, If I see something I like I buy it because it makes me happy.  Also the best thing about maxi's is that they dont have to be overpriced to be pretty.

Thanks heaps for today Linda, it was alot of fun.  And to the readers, stay tuned for the next Linda installment -

Dirty Little Secrets

Have you ever been the keeper of someones.....

Well this is me at the moment.  I know so many dirty little secrets on a very bad individual.  The question I pose to my readers is -

Do I let them out and take this person down?  or  Do I hold them in?

The competitive part of me really wants to let them out and teach this person a lesson on if you treat people poorly that the "Karma Train" is going to come at you with full force.

Or if I dont, will Karma get the person anyway?  ......If it hasn't already.

Man LOVE

I'm very lucky to have a very close group of great girlfriends.   For years we have dragged our men around with us to various outings and catch ups we have had.  Our boyfriends generally have all gotten on well with each other over the years, but now that has all changed....

Man LOVE has has taken over!

Years ago you could get PDA's (public display of affection) from your man even though you were his girlfriend, fiancee or wife.  But now men are displaying affection to their own species!  I love it!  It's sooo funny!!  Here are some of the best PDA's to date...
