I have a JOB... Time to SPEND!

Hi all

Been a very long time in between blogs.  I'm sure you have missed me terribly! ha ha

Been meaning to annonce via the BloggerliciousB Blog for a while that...

I GOT A NEW JOB! woohoo.

Not only did I get a new job I got my DREAM job!  For nearly 10 years I was working in sales within the hardware industry.  Great people but I wasn't very into the products because I dont build things on the weekend or get out in the garden....EWW.  I'm now the National Field Sales Manager for a group of 6 Reps and 6 Agents at a company that supplies Homewares and Kitchen products into stores like DJ's, Myer, Freedom, Big W... the list goes on :)  This of course suits me better because I love decorating the house!

Now that's just 1/2 of the excitingness (new word) of this Blog...

New Job = Cashed Up & Time To Spend

I was going to smash out a shopping spree at Chaddy (yes I did say smash out) but I had such a big week of travelling for work (Brisbane & Sydney), so I'm stuffed.  Actually before I go on... What is the deal with everyone saying they're smashing things? Eg: Just smashed down a burger, Just smashed a gym session. haha.  Ok back to shopping.  So instead of going out I thought whats better then that..... ONLINE!  Some of my favourite online shopping spots are:

Today it was Sass & Bide doing the damage to my account.  Lucky for me thought they are having a sale and I was able to snap up some bargains.....

The Good Life pants - $140 :)

The Good News dress - $90  = BARGAIN!

It's been a couple of months of no shopping so I feel pretty good after my little spree :)

Shoe Fetish

I have an obsession with shoe's - I own about 150-200 pairs!

I very rarely throw them out because I always think that I may need them 1 day.  It turns out that was a very smart decision....

About 2 months ago a close friend of mine was telling us girls about her "Shoe Guy".  A guy on Facebook contacted her about buying her old, well worn heels.  So she thought, why not I dont wear them so I might as well get money for them, better then throwing them out. When she was telling that story she had already made $500 by selling 5 pairs. Everyone thought it was a great way of making cash. Me on the other hand I thought it was a funny story but never considered it to be something I would do.

I am the prude of the group! So much so my friends call my Charlotte off Sex In The City.

To my surprise on Saturday I got a friend request on Facebook from the "Shoe Guy" and of all people he has chosen me, the prude! LOL. I was initially going to ignore it because I was a little freaked out by it but in the end I thought there is no harm and messaging him "Do I know you". He replied with a detailed messaged about how he likes to buy well worn ladies shoes and that he pays well for them. So obviously my next question was - HOW MUCH? haha. Once I found out it was a cool $100 cash I thought well maybe I can look into this a little deeper. He was very keen for boots, so I went upstairs and started photographing boots that I don't wear anymore...

He chose the longer pair and gave me the details on where to drop them off and where the cash would be. Here's photos on how the drop off went today >

My Unloved Blog

Hi all!!

My poor poor blog.  It has had no love for ages! :(

Strange really because it's not like I haven't had time to do a blog because I have.  I've been really distracted and a little stressed about looking for a new job and really haven't felt like blogging.

Most of my friends would know, but not a lot of my readers and my Twitter buddies (Follow- @BloggerliciousB) would know.  I was working in the hardware industry for a supplier.  I started there as a Merchandiser calling on Bunnings stores in Victoria and in nearly 8 years worked my way up to leading the Southern Region Sales Team.  I had a great job and a great team to work with.  Your probably wondering why I left then.

Well....

I'm a very passionate and loyal person who works extremely hard for the brand I represent.  But things started to change and things just weren't the same anymore.  Which is really sad because I believe culture is one of the most important factors of a successful company.  I'd love to say more, but I should play it safe.

Anyway I do appreciate what the company did for me while I was there and I'll never forget the support they gave me.

So it's time for a new chapter in my life.  I have left the hardware industry behind and will miss all the great people in it.  But time to look forward to hopefully getting similar job in a different industry.  One that is not so male dominated for a change :)

I had my 4th interview yesterday for a National Field Sales Leader position in the Homewares industry.  I have never interviewed for a executive level postion before and it's such a big process.  It has however been a nice process and have really enjoyed the interviews.  I think when looking for a job it's important to ask yourself if your the right person for this company and its equally important to ask yourself is this the right company for me?  Well I have asked myself these 2 questions and answered:

YES
YES

So now I'm nervously waiting my fate today.  I have every bone in my body crossed and I know my friends and family do also and their fingers are starting to hurt hehe.
