Lazy Blogger = ME

I haven't blogged for probably 4 months because taking on a national role in a new industry certainly has been taxing.  I know this may sound odd coming from someone who now works in the fashion decor industry but I am really missing the hardware industry.  I have no interest in hardware per say but I miss all the people I got to know over the years I was in it.  Starting from scratch in a new industry isn't an easy thing.

I must mention.... How good are the mighty Blue Baggers going!?  It was such an awesome feeling smashing Essendon last week.  Essendon = SHIT TRUCKS! haha  It's really nice seeing the Blues have some success after struggling for so many years.  Hopefully we go far in the finals and if we don't my next wish is for Colligwood to get beaten by 1 point in the Grand Final and Chris Judd to win the Brownlow ahead of a Collingwood player. *evil grin*

And well done to Juddy and Bec on having a baby boy.  I look forward to seeing him drafted to Carlton in 2029. :)

Another team going great are my under 12/4 Raider Girls.  We made Vic Metro League 1, which is the 2nd highest level of basketball you can play in Victoria.  We face teams every week who are usually older and stronger (1 & 2 sides).  And we never give up and can even challenge some of the top sides.  For instance last night we played Southern Peninsula Sharks in Rosebud and only lost by 12 and they are 2nd on the ladder.  We have come so far as a group and I'm a very proud coach! GO KNOX! :)

Ummm.... what else has been happening.  Oh yeh - I have a new obsession!  I cant stop eating Burger Rings.  I eat them almost daily haha.  So so bad but so so YUMMY!  So much for my healthy diet!  My excuse is winter... cause it is so cold and depressing I feel the need to eat yummy comfort food.

I'm also totally obsessed with "Words With Friends".  I am the Scrabble Master!  If you want to take me on, my username is: Bianca2209

OK I think that will do now for this very disjointed blog... but I'm back on the horse now so stay tuned for some very interesting bloggerling.

Cleaning Out My Closet

Currently my closet is about to explode!  I've made a commitment to myself that I will hold off on buying any new clothes until I clean the bloody thing out.

TIME

I have gone through all my jeans and I have over 50 pairs - that is insane!  It's really hard to part with some because the all have memories.  One of my absolute favorites are these Bardot ones with diamante Bardot symbol on back pocket:

I have a JOB... Time to SPEND!

Hi all

Been a very long time in between blogs.  I'm sure you have missed me terribly! ha ha

Been meaning to annonce via the BloggerliciousB Blog for a while that...

I GOT A NEW JOB! woohoo.

Not only did I get a new job I got my DREAM job!  For nearly 10 years I was working in sales within the hardware industry.  Great people but I wasn't very into the products because I dont build things on the weekend or get out in the garden....EWW.  I'm now the National Field Sales Manager for a group of 6 Reps and 6 Agents at a company that supplies Homewares and Kitchen products into stores like DJ's, Myer, Freedom, Big W... the list goes on :)  This of course suits me better because I love decorating the house!

Now that's just 1/2 of the excitingness (new word) of this Blog...

New Job = Cashed Up & Time To Spend

I was going to smash out a shopping spree at Chaddy (yes I did say smash out) but I had such a big week of travelling for work (Brisbane & Sydney), so I'm stuffed.  Actually before I go on... What is the deal with everyone saying they're smashing things? Eg: Just smashed down a burger, Just smashed a gym session. haha.  Ok back to shopping.  So instead of going out I thought whats better then that..... ONLINE!  Some of my favourite online shopping spots are:

Today it was Sass & Bide doing the damage to my account.  Lucky for me thought they are having a sale and I was able to snap up some bargains.....

The Good Life pants - $140 :)

The Good News dress - $90  = BARGAIN!

It's been a couple of months of no shopping so I feel pretty good after my little spree :)

Shoe Fetish

I have an obsession with shoe's - I own about 150-200 pairs!

I very rarely throw them out because I always think that I may need them 1 day.  It turns out that was a very smart decision....

About 2 months ago a close friend of mine was telling us girls about her "Shoe Guy".  A guy on Facebook contacted her about buying her old, well worn heels.  So she thought, why not I dont wear them so I might as well get money for them, better then throwing them out. When she was telling that story she had already made $500 by selling 5 pairs. Everyone thought it was a great way of making cash. Me on the other hand I thought it was a funny story but never considered it to be something I would do.

I am the prude of the group! So much so my friends call my Charlotte off Sex In The City.

To my surprise on Saturday I got a friend request on Facebook from the "Shoe Guy" and of all people he has chosen me, the prude! LOL. I was initially going to ignore it because I was a little freaked out by it but in the end I thought there is no harm and messaging him "Do I know you". He replied with a detailed messaged about how he likes to buy well worn ladies shoes and that he pays well for them. So obviously my next question was - HOW MUCH? haha. Once I found out it was a cool $100 cash I thought well maybe I can look into this a little deeper. He was very keen for boots, so I went upstairs and started photographing boots that I don't wear anymore...

He chose the longer pair and gave me the details on where to drop them off and where the cash would be. Here's photos on how the drop off went today >

My Unloved Blog

Hi all!!

My poor poor blog.  It has had no love for ages! :(

Strange really because it's not like I haven't had time to do a blog because I have.  I've been really distracted and a little stressed about looking for a new job and really haven't felt like blogging.

Most of my friends would know, but not a lot of my readers and my Twitter buddies (Follow- @BloggerliciousB) would know.  I was working in the hardware industry for a supplier.  I started there as a Merchandiser calling on Bunnings stores in Victoria and in nearly 8 years worked my way up to leading the Southern Region Sales Team.  I had a great job and a great team to work with.  Your probably wondering why I left then.

Well....

I'm a very passionate and loyal person who works extremely hard for the brand I represent.  But things started to change and things just weren't the same anymore.  Which is really sad because I believe culture is one of the most important factors of a successful company.  I'd love to say more, but I should play it safe.

Anyway I do appreciate what the company did for me while I was there and I'll never forget the support they gave me.

So it's time for a new chapter in my life.  I have left the hardware industry behind and will miss all the great people in it.  But time to look forward to hopefully getting similar job in a different industry.  One that is not so male dominated for a change :)

I had my 4th interview yesterday for a National Field Sales Leader position in the Homewares industry.  I have never interviewed for a executive level postion before and it's such a big process.  It has however been a nice process and have really enjoyed the interviews.  I think when looking for a job it's important to ask yourself if your the right person for this company and its equally important to ask yourself is this the right company for me?  Well I have asked myself these 2 questions and answered:

YES
YES

So now I'm nervously waiting my fate today.  I have every bone in my body crossed and I know my friends and family do also and their fingers are starting to hurt hehe.

All LOVED UP
on Valentines Day

So many people think that Valentines Day is a money making scheme.... well it is right?  The question I pose is that if it's a money making scheme of showing your love to your partner WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT!!

I'm a Valentines tragic and have always celebrated it with my boyfriend.  If they dont like it, well they need to learn to like it because it is one of my non negotiables :) hehe.  I've been really lucky though, especially with Paul.  He is so sweet and always spoils me on Valentines Day.

Some of the things I used to do when I was single was send a Valentines card as a secret admirer or look in the newspaper to see if there was a message in there for me.  I'm such a hopeless romantic!!

Myer buys Sass and Bide WTF!!

I have only just found out that my favourite label Sass and Bide is now owned by Myer.  Myer bought it for 42.5m and now own 65% of it.  I guess my concern is that will this change the brand?  Will the Sass and Bide label be as exclusive as it's always been or will it become mass market?  It's reported that the design team are staying on, but you wonder how long will they stay for....

I really hope that the Sass and Bide label continues to produce beautiful and unaffordable clothing because it wouldn't have the impact if they changed it.

I saw a tee today that I wanted to buy for $150 in David Jones, but I guess I might hold off for the moment cause DJ's would be absolutely spewing on this and will probably want to quit the stock quick.  And you guessed it I'll be there to snap up the bargains :)

Here's the top I want:

Celebrating 1 Month

Happy 1 month to my Blog.  :)

It's like a relationshop where you celebrate your 1st month with your partner.  I'm surprised I have kept it going for a month because usually I can tire of things pretty quick.  I have however slowed the production of blogs a little.  When I started I was doing 1 blog at day, well I'm just not that interesting to do that LOL.

I really enjoy reading everyones comments, so please keep the coming.  I also love when I'm out and about and people are talking about reading my blog and to keep them coming because they are enjoying it.  The most talked about blog is definately "Project Lemon Tree".  I must say, that is my favourite too.  I also love the blog on "Linda the Maxi Dress Queen" and "The Dukan Diet".  If you haven't checked them out yet go to these links:

Oh to have that
20yr old BODY back

I've now been out of work for 2 weeks.  However I'm not just sitting around, i have been very active in finding a new job.  Currently waiting to hear the result of my 3rd interview with a company that I'm very interested in working for.  Anyways, I'm getting off track.  The reason for this blog is when you have more time on your hands you tend to dig up some old things - like photos.

When I was in my teens and my early to mid 20's I was pretty skinny.  I never realised how lucky I was - I could eat what ever I wanted and not put on weight.  I'm not saying that I'm hugely obese now but I'm definately not the skinny bitch I was... hehe.  Anyways, I was digging out some old photos and thought I'd post them for a bit of a laugh.... ENJOY :)

BTW I thought looked good at the time........  LOL

Poser and didn't like to wear much haha (AGE 21)
Modelling - White belts were all the range! LOL (AGE 22)
I thought todays teens weren't wearing enough clothes- it seems I can't talk!!  LOL (AGE 18)

The Dreaded FAT Photo

Every health kick has its trigger and it is usually in the form of a photo.  I was at my heaviest around New Years - 7kgs heavier then I would like to be :(

I did about 10 outfit changes before I went to the New Years party I was invited to, I just wasn't content with anything I was putting on.  It was a hot day which made it harder because when it's hot you usually want to wear less clothes.  It was this night that the dreaded FAT PHOTO was taken and it was loaded onto Facebook by a friend.  As soon as I saw it I quickly untagged myself from it and asked for it to be deleted... haha.  I have NEVER asked for a photo to be deleted, so it must have been bad.

Here is a picture of me that night.  It's not the FAT PHOTO cause that was deleted by my lovely friend.  But it's still shows that I was holding a bit extra beef  LOL

My friend Kendall is even funnier with her FAT PHOTO.  She keeps a copy of it in her bag to keep her motivated to eat well and exercise.  Me on the other hand, I never wanted to see that photo ever again!! haha

Since eating well and exercising almost every day I have lost 2kgs, so I'm pretty happy about that.  :)

1st ZUMBA class = OUCH!

I have always been very co ordinated and good at most sports.  I incorrectly thought this would translate into Zumba.

OMG I was a total SHIT TRUCK! lol.

I haven't been a very big gym goer over the years, well actually I think I've been once or twice, so not much.  I didn't realise how hard it was to watch the instructor opposite you and try and copy what she was doing.  Trying to do the moves and co-ordinate my arms and legs just wasn't happening.  I looked like a baby giraffe.  However as the class went on I did get better - THANK GOODNESS.  I have now signed up for 25 classes because it's a look cheaper then paying $18 a week.  So that makes me commited and maybe a little stupid?? haha.

ZUMBA BEFORE SHOT

ZUMBA AFTER SHOT

Even though I look shocking, I loved it and looking forward to next week :)

I *HEART* Beach Days

I couldn't imagine anyone not loving summer and going to the beach.  This year however hasn't been a great year for going to the beach because it has rained so much this summer.  Is it bad of me to say that I miss the drought just a little?  If it is, please ignore that last statement :)

I moved down near the beach about 2 years ago and have never looked back.  I used to travel nearly 1 hour to get to the beach and it was an effort.  Now I can just walk there.... If I can be bothered coz it's 3.7kms away.  Yep that's right, I was so excited about being so close I measured it.. hehe

Last Summer was great, I would start work early and get my day done and spend the late afternoon at the beach and usually stay for dinner.  This year sux!  I have no job atm and could be at the beach everyday if the weather would co-operate.  Because of the weather my 1st beach day wasn't until last Sunday.

1st beach day of 2011

After the beach we had dinner at probably the most tasty and healthy
Fish & Chip shop -

 Fish Tank

Here's some photos of the amazingly fresh seafood you can get there....

You get a choice of grilled or fried for almost everything on the menu.  I suggest you try the Garlic Prawn Skewer & Grilled Scallops..... So So TASTY!

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention..... It's licensed!!!  ;)

My Celebrity Encounters

Hi to all my readers,

3 blogs in 3 days.... looks like Bloggerlicious Bianca is back on the daily bloggeroonie bandwagon :)

I thought it was time to do a blog on my Celebrity Encounters.  I absolutely love keeping up with celeb goss and looking at their pics in magazines.  However I definately dont desire to be famous and have everyone looking at me and poking into my personal stuff.  Actually let me re phrase that, I wouldn't hate it but I would want it on my terms, for example - only be photographed on when I'm ready (always getting my good side) and not have my personal life splashed all through the tabloids.

Here are some of my encounters....

You can see the excitement on my face when I
ran into Matt Damon on a movie set while in NYC.
He was very nice, even when everyone on set
was asking me to leave he said "No, I am having
a photo taken".  So the director took the shot.

Alicia Keys filming the New York film clip in the
middle of Times Square.  It wasn't planned to see her
they just started building a stage about 1am and she
turned up at 3am, so lucky we decided to wait around
because it was awesome!

Again in NYC.  We were walking down Broadway
and there was this big crowd of people getting
photos and autographs off this lady in the photo with us.
We had no idea who she was, but knew we would
find out some day haha.  That day has come,
it's Laura Linney who currently stars in a show
called The Big C, plus she's been in the movies -
The Truman Show, Primal Fear any many more.

Unhealthy Diet PROOF

We were obviously not eating a lot of salad until 3 weeks ago.  Since eating salad almost every night for dinner we have been dressing it with sqeezed lemon - YUM!  Which are soon to be free with the growing of our lemon tree.... YAY :)  For today's lunch I'm going to replicate the yummy lunch Linda (the maxi queen) made for me on Monday - Egg White Omelette, Salmon & Salad with Balsamic Dressing.  Everything all ready to go but we have a slight problem with the Balsamic Vinegar in our cupboard......

Yeah thats right... that Balsamic aint going anywhere or on anything!! :)

Now I know I live near the beach and I'm going to be really ungrateful here, but I'd give anything just to jump into a pool and cool down after a hard workout.  Paul and I have just been up to the running track and OMG it was *beep* HOT!  Check out the sweat! LOL

Paully after jogging 12 laps of the running track

I ran, jogged & walked 8 laps plus did my lunges & squats

My face will tell you how hard I worked - What a freak! haha

Being a BUM

Helllloooo BLOGWORLD!

I was doing at least 1 blog a day until Monday.  Monday was a bad day!  Monday wasn't supposed to be a bad day, it was so to be my 1st day of freedom after finishing my job I was at for nearly 8 years.  Everything went pretty smoothly with my finishing up.... so that was great.  But then to my surprise on Monday my partner Paul was dismissed from the same company, with no reason given.  That's something I'd love to comment more about, but I cant at present.

Paul has amazed me with his attitude on "that's the past and time to move forward".  Me on the other hand, I have taken it quite hard.  I feel that I after all the hard work he did and how much he improved the company that it was such a horrible thing to happen.  I just dont understand how people can be so ungrateful and mean.  I guess now I'm learning that that's business and everyone is replaceable.... such a hard lesson to learn though.

Anyways, now onto the "I'm moving on" part.  Yep thats right I went for my 1st job interview in nearly 8 years.  Such a strange feeling because over the last 5 years I have been conducting interviews in my old role.  So to be on the other side of the table again was a very nerve racking experience.  All went well though and the lady loved me :)  So onto the 2nd round I go.  I really hope I go well because the job would be awesome.  I would be leading a National Sales Team who call on Myer, DJ's, Target, Kmart, Big W and other stores that stock homeware type products. *fingers crossed*

So with both Paul and I out of work there is definately no excuse not to keep up our good eating and excercise habits.  Most days we are eating fruit for brekky, salad s/wichs on grain bread and meat & salad for tea.  If we feel the need to have a snack attack we are eating popcorn or an icypole hehe.

It's so great when the weather is good because exercising outside is so much nicer.  We did quite a few laps around the oval tonight.......

RUN Forrest RUN

Since the health kick began 2 wks ago Paul has lost 4.5kgs and I have lost 1.8kgs  :)
